The Vice Lord-Lieutenant

The Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire is appointed by the Lord-Lieutenant and is currently Colonel Murray Colville TD DL.

The duties of the Vice Lord-Lieutenant include standing in for the Lord-Lieutenant when he is absent, sick or otherwise unable to act. The Vice Lord-Lieutenant may represent the Lord-Lieutenant at local engagements or accompany him when hosting Royal visitors.

The Vice Lord-Lieutenant may also lend advice and support to the Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenants.
