Honours are for individuals from all walks of life who have achieved something very special, be it at a national or local level. You may be familiar with CBE's, OBE's and MBE's from the Honours Lists that are published twice a year (New Year and the Monarch's birthday), but there is also the BEM (British Empire Medal) which is for those individuals who have committed their life to serving their local community.
Nominations can be made by anyone who knows or has been impacted by the individual and the Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire is keen to encourage more nominations from our area.
If you wish to learn more, or want to start writing your nomination please see:
Alternatively, please visit Nominate someone for an honour or award or contact the Leicestershire Lieutenancy Office.
If you've already submitted an honours nomination and wish to have an update on its progress, you can contact the Honours and Appointments Secretariat: honours@cabinetoffice.gov.uk or 0207 276 2777
